Pedogate: Washington DC Cop Arrested With Elite Pedophile Ring Connection
Metropolitan Police Officer facing multiple charges after tip from DHS on human trafficking
A Washington D.C. police officer has been arrested and is facing multiple charges, including rape and armed robbery after he was caught sexually abusing a minor at gunpoint.
The arrest was made by neighboring Anne Arundel County police after the Department of Homeland Security issued a warrant following a tip-off that the officer was part of a human trafficking network and was abusing his power to find underage girls to be "sold" to an Elite pedophile ring that is operating in the state.
The cop has been named as 27-year-old Chukwuemeka Ekwonna of Glenn Dale.
According to a statement by Anne Arundel County Police, a 15-year-old victim has come forward stating that Ekwonna had paid her for sex and then forced her to give him the money back by threatening her with his police-issued firearm.
He is now also facing charges of Armed Robbery, Robbery, Firearm Use in a Felony Crime of Violence, First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, two counts of Third Degree Sex Offenses, Reckless Endangerment, Handgun in a Vehicle, Handgun on a Person and Prostitution.
Ekwonna was said to be using a chatting and flirting app called "tagged" that he would use meet and lure young girls.
Police say the 15-year-old victim was receiving services from the Department of Social Services when she revealed that she met Ekwonna on the app.
She told DSS that Ekwonna sexually abused her in his car, and police say he gave her money for it, but moments later pulled out a gun and demanded his money back, at which point the young girl gave Ekwonna the money back and managed to escape from his car and raise the alarm.
The Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement:
"MPD takes the allegations against Officer Ekwonna extremely seriously. He is currently being held in Anne Arundel County without bond."
"The integrity of our officers is of the utmost importance to the Metropolitan Police Department and Ekwonna's actions do not represent the values we seek to uphold."
As of Friday evening, Ekwonna was terminated by the MPD.
The police and DHS say that the 15-year-old witness that has come forward had not been sold into a human trafficking ring, but fear there may be countless others out there, that didn't manage to escape, and are urging any witnesses, victims or anyone with any further information to come forward.
